Anthias are often found living in groups in deeper coastal areas, usually in or near reef areas. They are omnivores and feeders of opportunity, but definitely love frozen food such as frozen Mysis shrimp. An interesting fact with these fish is that males of this species will show a brighter color when kept with similarly colored species so that females can easily spot the males.
