Emperor Scorpions (Pandinus imperator) are hardy fascinating creatures that are native to the tropical forests of Africa. Emperor Scorpions emerge from their hiding places at dusk to search for food throughout the night. They are very docile and can be kept in groups. All scorpions are venomous to a certain extent. Some people may be more sensitive or allergic to these substances, making it dangerous to care for scorpions without using proper precautions. Gloves and eye protection should be worn when cleaning cages and scorpions should not be handled.
