Electric Blue Jack Dempsey
This is a variant of the standard Jack Dempsey Cichlid, and when reaching adult color the fish is stunningly beautiful. Archocentrus octofaciatus is a naturally occurring strain of the Jack Dempsey, and is not artificially colored or hybridized with other fish to get the color. This color is very rare in a Jack Dempsey, and the blue fry can not be produced by breeding two blue parents. Bloodworms, beef heart, and even earthworms are all devoured quickly by this fish. Approximate adult size of this fish is 6 to 9 inches.
