Eheim Professional 3 Series

The Eheim Professional 3 series of canisters are designed for larger aquariums with heavier fish loads. Their design incorporates a “prefilter” tray with a coarse sponge filter pad at the very top of the canister. This allows the user to open up the unit and just clean this prefilter without having to pull out all the media every cleaning. These canisters are energy efficient and utilize heavy duty clamps to attach the motor head to the canister body. They also include a push-primer and built in shut-offs for the hoses to make maintenance a snap. The Models 2071, 2073 and 2075 come preloaded with media (Ehfimech pro, Biomech and Ehfisubstrat pro). The Model 2080 would require 4 liters of Ehfimech and 8 liters of Ehfisubstrat pro. The Model 2080 also uses two intake hoses to handle the higher flow rate. The canisters include all tubing, intake and return connections. Media is not included.
The 2180 has all the features of the 2080 with the addition of a built in 500 watt heating element and electronic controller. The external controller has a large LCD screen to measure the water temperature. Designed for only freshwater. Media is not included.
