One of the more peaceful Triggers, the Crosshatch generally will not bother other fish. The female Crosshatch will not develop the red tail of the male, and can be kept in groups in larger aquariums (one male to several females). It is considered a somewhat safe fish for a mini-reef, but care should be taken to watch for coral nipping. This Trigger will require a diet of meaty based foods, krill, clam, Silversides and fish. The Crosshatch will require a fairly large amount of open space for swimming, but still require Live Rock formations that it can retreat into when stressed.
