One of the most popular pond fish in the U.S.A. and Native of China, these domestically-bred beauties are extremely hardy. There are a few key differences between Comets and Koi. The Comet grows to a maximum length of a little over a foot (compared to the maximum of more than two feet for many Koi varieties.) The Comet also does not display the barbs on either side of the mouth. The Standard Comet coloration differs from the Sarasa Comet as it is typically much more solid in its orange or metallic gold appearance.
