Colored Blastomussa Coral
Colored Blastomussa Coral, also know as Branched Cup Coral or Swollen Brain Brain, is a coral of medium hardiness. Blastomussa, Blastomussa sp., likes low water flow and a low placement in the aquarium. Its round, enlarged discs come in a variety of colors (or combination of colors) including red, blue, and green. Because of its slow growth, it will not encroach upon or harm other corals. It normally does not require target feeding, as the Blastomussa is partly comprised of its own supply of nutrients in the form of symbiotic algae zooxanthellae. Specialized foods designed for filter feeders or micro-plankton will, however, be accepted.
