Clown Tang
Found in the Indo-Pacific, the Acanthurus lineatus is better known as the Clown Tang. This fish is one of the more beautiful Tangs available to home aquarists. It is one of the more aggressive Tangs, so it should be introduced simultaneously or after other Tangs. This is a very active swimmer, so it needs plenty of free space to swim. It also requires a few caves to hide in when it feels the need. A true herbivore, the Clown Tang should be fed vegetable-based prepared foods and seaweed sheets, spirulina, and prepared herbivors foods. It will also eat macroalgae and some filamentous algae. A reef safe Tang, its bold blue on yellow/orange coloration makes it a very desirable aquarium fish.
