Clown Plecostomus L-104/L-162
Scientifically one of the Panaque Maccus, the Clown Plecostomus was first described by Steindachner in 1882. Found in northern South America, the Clown Pleco is one of the dwarf plecostomus, reaching a mature size of 3-4 inches. The body can be an olive green/ brown with white/yellow striping, generally in an irregular or broken pattern. The tail is slightly forked and the dorsal fin is generally held against the body. The Clown Pleco is one of a few plecos that may not get along with others of its kind, unless they happen to be a pair or there are multiple hiding places in the aquarium. Because of their size, the Clown Pleco is generally safe with live plants.
Approximate arrival size for Clown Plecostomus: 2-3".
