Chrysurus Angel
(Pomacanthus chrysurus) commonly known as the Chrysurus Angel is a rare jewel that is sure to shine as the center of attention in any large home aquarium. Very few of these fish are collected each year, so this fish tends to be quite rare in the hobby. This fish is not reef safe, and should be kept in a large fish only aquarium where there are no corals or small invertebrates for it to eat.
Food for this angel should include both meaty and vegetable based foods. Commercially prepared frozen angel foods are a very good idea for this fish, as well as standards such as Mysis shrimp. It is recommended this fish is given a minimum of a 6 foot tank, along the lines of a 135 gallon tank, so that it may properly develop and be given enough swimming room. This fish can attain a size of nearly 12 inches in length even in the home aquarium, so having room to move around is very important. The fish shipped will be sub adult or adult, and may not have attained adult color.
Approximate arrival size: 3.5 to 5 inches
