This Eel will ambush smaller fish and crabs among the Live Rock and in the wild will even leave the water to pursue its prey. When feeding in the aquarium with smaller fish, you may have to “stun” the feeders before adding to the tank, near the Moray’s hiding place. It can hunt by sight and smell, usually striking from a distance of about 2-4 inches.
