The Sturgeon is a fish well suited to aquarium life, but only if the aquarium is appropriately sized for how big this fish can grow as an adult. There have been fish found in the wild of this type that are over 100 years old, so it has the potential to be a very long lived fish. This fish is also known as the White Sturgeon, and is often raised on fish farms as a food fish, and its eggs are often sold as caviar. This fish lives its life as a marine, brackish, and freshwater fish. At Petsolutions we receive the fish in freshwater, and it is housed in freshwater. This fish is a carnivore, and will need to be provided with a meaty diet of shrimp, small fish, and chunky frozen foods such as scallops.
