All small pets need a fresh source of clean water. Since their bodies are so small, small animals need to drink multiple times throughout the day to stay hydrated. One of the easiest ways to provide a fresh source of water is using a plastic water bottle made for small pets. These bottles hang in- or outside the cage and have a metal sipper tube at the bottom with a ball bearing that prevents leaking. All small pets, including hamsters, rabbits, and guinea pigs, enjoy this type of water source, as a water bottle cannot be tipped over or dirtied like a bowl.
