LOVET IT!

Pros:
Quiet & Completely Submergable
Cons:
I bought this product about 4 months ago. I love it. It's quiet and keeps the water quite clean. It's easy to clean and break apart. Never had an easier filter. I fully recommend it.

Great Product!

Pros:
Quiet
Cons:
I use this filter in a tank with cichlids which is underneath a reptile cage. Cichlids are pretty messy and this filter had had no problems keeping up. Plus, the design is compact so it is easy to find a good place to put it.

Nice customizable filter!

Pros:
Cons:
I've owned the Cascade 400 for over a year now & I really like it. You can rinse & reuse the sponge insert so as not to lose your beneficial bacterias & the carbon cartridge is easily opened so you can put whatever media you like in there. Flow is adjustable & it can be place vertically or horizontally. I would not hesitate to buy another.

I've been buying this product for years

Pros:
Durable, Needs Little Upkeep, Effective, Quiet, Easy To Clean
Cons:
OK Here goes: I have 8 tanks running now, a 75 Gallon with tropical assortment with a Cascade 1200 which filters 312 GPH, easy to clean and start up, easier than Fluval 305 which only filter 185 GPH so you can see, more water per hour better cleaning. I have recommnded the cascade 600 to all my friends since it is affordable arround $30 and filters 175 GPH almost as much as Fluval 305. I have 2 Cascade 600 in use in my 55, 59 high with Chiclids, I have Cascade 400 in my 20 & 30 gallons with cichlid babies. I even have a Cascade 200 that I have had for at least 2 1/2 years now and it still does the job on my 5 gallon chiclids birthing tanks. All tanks keep crystal clear, and cleaning these filters could not be any easier, minimal tank disturbance and fast. I guess I am very sold on Cascade Filters. Like I said before, I will recomend this kind of filters to everyone I meet in pet store or anywhere I go.

Pros:
Powerful Filter, Inexpensive, Quiet, keeps the tank nice and clean, has adjustable output, and is good for plants.
Cons:
Filter's output is confined to a small area and is sometimes too powerful in certain spots. When turning the output to not to come out so quickly it becomes a bit more noisy.
I've bought 3 of these filters so far. Two of the Cascade 300s and one Cascade 600. They are a great value! Very cheap compared to internal filters so far at stores and other places, and work amazingly. I have only had them for a few months though so I do not know if there's any long term defects or such but so far they work great. I spent about 40$ on a hang-on-back filter for my 29g tank, but a 14$ cascade filter does the job just as good. This filter is great for planted tanks. Little surface disturbance means less gas exchange and more CO2 for good plant growth. If you do not have plants, you may want to have the output nozzle a little above the water so you can get some oxygen in the water. It might not be as quiet this way (I mentioned it was quiet earlier but that is when fully submersed). You can barely hear it when fully submersed which is great because my fish tank is near my bed. It doesn't disturb my sleep at all. I recommend this filter to anyone who needs a cheap, effecient, powerful filter in their aquarium, and who doesn't? It's hard to find filters that are nice and fairly priced.

Pros:
It works great
Cons:
to difficult to change carbon pack
I am a highly skilled person with anything mechanical. The Cascade 600 is very difficult to open the housing and change the carbon filter thus I would not buy such a poorly designed product again.
