The Yellow Tip Hermit Crab is a reef safe scavenger that will help control algae by eating any food before it is broken down into nitrate and phosphate fertilizer for algae. Harmless to fish, the crabs will fight amongst themselves for possession of the "best" shell to inhabit.

Please note: These are aquatic saltwater hermit crabs. They must be kept in an aquarium filled with salt water. They are not pet land hermit crabs. Please note, hermit crabs are very small, and may range in size from pencil eraser size up to about 1/2 inch size.
