Hard Corals LPS for Saltwater Aquariums
Hard corals generally fit into two categories. Generally considered the easier of the two categories, LPS corals are very recognizable by many people, even those who aren't saltwater reef keepers. Brain corals and bubble corals are often easily identified simply by looking at the texture and shape of the coral. It is very important to provide enough calcium to a system where hard corals are being housed, and these pieces have higher lighting requirements than soft corals. Some LPS corals will send out stinging sweeper filaments to attack other nearby corals.
