The Male Pictilis Anthias is one of many attractive members of this family. When keeping this fish in groups, it is important to keep just 1 Male Pictilis Anthias to a group of females. If working with an extraordinarily large aquarium, then it is possible to keep more than one male if enough females are present but there may be territorial disputes between groups. In the wild this fish will feed on a diet of zooplankton but in the aquarium it will do well on meaty frozen foods such as Mysis shrimp.
