Scientific Name: Gekko ulikovskii
Approximate Arrival Size: 5 to 7 inches
Lighting Requirements: Southeast Asia
Golden Geckos, Gekko ulikovskii, are nocturnal lizards native to tropical Southeast Asia. They can be kept in groups if provided with enough places to hide.
Maximum size: 12"-14"
Life span: 10 years
Lighting: Specialized reptile lights for viewing nocturnal animals would be a good choice.
Temperature range: Day 75°-88°F Night 65°-75°F
Food: Crickets, mealworms, and pinkie mice coated in calcium and vitamin powder. We recommend feeding in a separate container without substrate to prevent accidental ingestion of the substrate.
Water: A shallow bowl of clean water should always be available. Daily misting the terrarium is important to provide humidity and water droplets for drinking.
Housing/Habitat: An aquarium equipped with an under tank heating pad at one end, with aspen, jungle mix, orchid bark, reptile turf, or lizard litter substrate. Landscape to provide a basking area, hiding places, and branches for climbing. Daily misting the substrate under the hiding places until it is wet should keep them damp.
