This fish has great coloration, is hardy, and adds a great effect to the home aquarium. Also known as the Lake Kutubu Rainbowfish, this fish is has a luminescence of aquatic green-blue that reflects from its silvery body. The males tend to have more color than the females, but added in a mixed group the males will show the most color. This eager eater will accept dried, frozen, and live foods. It prefers a bit of salt added to the water and prefers cooler temperatures than many tropical fish - something around 70 degrees should be fine.
