A rather attractive scavenger and a personable aquarium curiosity, the Gold Dojo Loach makes a great addition to the freshwater community aquarium. Effective in its scavenging as it sifts through the substrate, this eel-like loach is a scaleless fish that is golden-pink in color. Also known as the Yellow Oriental Weatherfish, its mouth is surrounded by ten barbels that enable its search for morsels that have gone uneaten by higher-swimming inhabitants. A carnivore, it will do fine with any foods, but an occasional feeding of blackworms or bloodworms will be eagerly accepted and will help ensure best coloration. The Gold Dojo Loach is completely passive toward other fish - even small fish - and is compatible with others of its own species.
