Freshwater Eels for Aquariums
Freshwater eels add both interest and personality to an aquarium, along with a sense of danger. While freshwater eels do not get as large as their saltwater counterparts, and they are not usually as aggressive, they can still be a threat to small fish in the aquarium and are best not kept with small, peaceful fish. Eels are excellent tank mates for larger fish, and the larger fish shouldn't necessarily be aggressive, just large. Fire eels are among the most popular, but the electric eel always grabs the attention of those browsing these interesting creatures.
