When introduced to the hobby in 2006, this fish was commonly referred to as the galaxy Rasbora with a scientific name of Microrasbora sp. "Galaxy" but in 2007 it was renamed to it's current Celestial Pearl Danio common name and reclassified. This fish is best kept in a tank with only other small, peaceful fish in order for it to be at its best. Small live food such as ghost shrimp and live brine shrimp would be welcomed as a treat for this fish, but it will also accept dry and frozen food.
