Spotted Raphael Catfish are little spiked catfish that protect themselves with sharp spines that run along the length of their body. If Spotted Raphael Catfish ever need to be captured and removed from the tank, it is strongly recommended to not use a net but instead use a container such as a cup to catch the fish. If a net is used, the fish will clamp onto the net with its spiny pectoral fins and hold on until they feel like letting go. The Spotted Raphael Catfish will take pellet, flake, freeze dried or frozen food.
