Brackish Fish for Freshwater Aquariums
Freshwater puffer fish are actually brackish water much like scats and flounder. While all of these fish may be housed temporarily in fresh water, it is best to slowly convert them over to a brackish water environment so that they may live happily long term and provide you with many years of happiness. All of these brackish water fish are carnivores, and they will tend to be aggressive toward their own kind as well as to smaller aquarium fish. Puffers are notorious fin nippers, and will often bite each others fins.
