Internal Parasite Aquarium Fish Medications

Internal parasites in fish are similar to those found in cats and dogs, as far as the effect they have on the animal. All animals, including humans, have a quantity of parasites living inside of them but an excess of these parasites becomes a problem as they strip nutrients from the host. The host isn't able to replenish them quickly enough and will often appear sickly or may even die. Medication for internal parasites will reduce the internal parasite load of fish, but it may not be effective on all internal parasites. Use any anti parasitic medication carefully.
