Instant Aquarium Substrate is ideal for most all freshwater aquariums, including discus, angelfish, stingrays, water turtles, and all community fish. It is packaged in water and mixed with a dechlorinator, ammonia remover, water clarifier and a biological boaster to begin cycling your aquarium immediately. Simply add water, its that easy. The unique sand sized grains help avoid food and fish waste from sinking deep into the tank bed so cleaning the aquarium has never been easier. 20 lb.

Black Moonsand

Pros:
Compact.
Cons:
Waste stand out.
Nice sand. I'm using it in a goldfish tank. I never had substrate with goldfish before. The fish love it but their waste is easily noticable. Thats the only draw back.

High quality product

Pros:
Good grain size
Cons:
I switched from gravel to the Peace River sand and love it. The grain size is just right at about 1 to 3mm in size. This does not stir up easily yet is still very soft and the fish like it too. It also was not mixed with any other colors. I had bought a different brand and the machine used on colored rocks was also used on their natural products. So I had neon green and bright blues, pink mixed in with my 'natural' substrate. No issue like that with this brand.

Very pretty

Pros:
Pretty, good for bottom-dwelling fish
Cons:
Messy when cleaning the tank or getting it out of the bag.
This substrate is great! I used two bags of the Tahitian Moon in my 29gallon. It's hard to get out of the bag and kind of messy, but it's much better than dry stuff. I have may aquariums with many different substrates (sand, rocks, stones, marbles, gravel...) but this is the prettiest. Only difficulty is vacuuming. Be careful with it.

ATTRACTIVE AND USEFUL

Pros:
Effective, Easy to Use, Safe, Good Value
Cons:
THE PARTICLE SIZE IS PERFECT. IT DOES NOT ALLOW MUCH AQUARIUM WASTE TO PENETRATE DEEP INTO THE GRAVEL WHICH HELPS TO MINIMIZE CLEANING. I USE THE PEACE RIVER GRAVEL. THIS GRAVEL IS ALSO VERY ATTRACTIVE AND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THE AQUARIUM.
