These protein skimmers are designed by Oceanic to fit the 14 and 29 gallon BioCube Aquarium Systems. Skimmer fits directly into the overflow box of the aquarium, and quietly and efficiently removes harmful organics from your marine aquarium. System includes a heavy-duty air pump, air flow valve, skimmer, and airline tubing for easy set-up and operation. System measures 8 1/2" tall.

Poor quality

Pros:

Small Enough for Nano

Cons:

Ineffective

I have this skimmer in my BC14 and is easy to install but not effective. I collect more water in the collection cup than I do anything else no matter how I position it or how high/low I set the air pump. Invest in a nicer quality one if you really need a skimmer for your bio load.

Pros:

Effective, Safe, Easy to Use, Durable, Good Value

Cons:

I use these protein skimmers in my 5 gallon Seahorse aquariums that require skimming because of their high nutrient load, where frequent water changes are not entirely sufficient.

Pros:

Easy to Use, Good Value

Cons:

I don't have a Biocube tank but a regular 12 gallon saltwater tank. This skimmer fits inside my small 12 gallon, & its so small it's not an eye soar you can hide it behind a rock. and it does pull green and brown gunk out of the water. Only draw back the collection cup is small so it has to be tend too every day.

Pros:

small and efficient

Cons:

This is an awesome protien skimmer for the price. It keeps my reef crystal clear. Fits in the bio cube as well as all the nano cubes. Perfect for any tank. I have 2 tanks and both are outfitted with the skimmer.
