Penguin powerheads deliver a constant flow with fully adjustable aeration and increased surface agitation while remaining virtually silent. The air valve regulates air flow, the air filter eliminates noise and dust, and the intake strainer keeps debris from fouling the impeller. Epoxy sealed, moisture-proof motor and electrical components ensure safe operation and handling in both fresh and saltwater applications. Brackets and suction cup mounting system adapts to all situations.

Durable, good performance

Pros:
Durable, Tolerates sand, Easy to clean, Good Value, Easy to Use, Many features, Effective
Cons:
None
Have had one of these powerheads for about 4 years now, still going strong. I use it to add circulation to my 125gal freshwater tank. It tolerates my floating plants getting sucked into it and isn't affected by my sand substrate in the tank. The suction cups are even strong enough to allow my 10" pleco to clean the algae off it! Mine came with various intake strainers and extensions and the ability to infuse bubbles into the output is really nice!

i use this on an under gravel filter and it works very well also helps keep the under gravel filter plates cleaner because of its reverse flo and large sponge filter.

Pros:
Removes large floating contaminants, keeps water mildly clear
Cons:
noisey if air flow is on, huge amounts of water agitation-too much, doesn't help at all with heavy heavy waste
I first go this filter from the great reviews, but i was very dis-satisfied with it. The power of the filter is so great, that my turtles couldn't swim in the water peacefully.the suction cup attachment doesn't hold it very well, it tilts a lot.
