Power Heads
Power heads are basically small pumps that are typically put into service for water circulation purposes inside of an aquarium but may also be tasked for other uses. A power head may be used to pump water out of a saltwater water change reservoir and into the main aquarium, or it may be used in freshwater on the lift tubes of an undergravel filter. Power heads are used with wave maker devices to create a rotating current in reef aquariums for coral development and they are used in running a refugium. A power head is a workhorse in the aquarium world.
