Awesome Filter

Pros:
Quiet,easy to use
Cons:
None
I have the Bio-wheel 350 running on my 37 gallon and it keeps my tank clear. I ordered the 100B for my 10g, since I like the 350 a lot. These are great filters.

Great Filter

Pros:
easy to clean, quiet
Cons:
none
The filter pads can be easily removed and cleaned or replaced. One doesn't have to worry about the beneficial bacteria, because they live on the bio-wheel and are not disturbed by replacing the filter pad. The filter runs very quietly, and I often can only tell it is running by the flow created. I have the 100-B on 10 gallon tanks, and it keeps them spotless.

Pros:
Cons:
I have several Penguin 100 and 100B. Good filter for the money. Suitable for 10g. The bio-wheel stops from time to time. I was told by the manufacturer that it wouldn't lessen the bio performance. I think otherwise...as the top portion of the wheel is dry when it is not spinning. So beneficial bacteria will not cultivate there....

Pros:
Great price, easy to use
Cons:
loud
I have a 350 on my 29 gallon and am happy with how easy it was to set up and use. It is a little on the loud side but not that bad. I love the fact it cause good surface agitation without causing a huge current. Definitely recommend for those on a budget.

Good but VERY loud on 150
1/14/2012

Pros:
Good flow, lots of media, works well
Cons:
LOUD, LOUD, very large
I have the 150 myself, and now use it for a backup for if one of my other filters goes out. The thing is large, and VERY loud. Hear it across the house loud. It works rather well, and has a very strong flow. I had to seal a crack on the bottom of one, and had a bent impeller pin in another, but still if you want the sound of running water this is a good filter.

Pros:
Easy to Setup, Durable, Quiet, Easy To Clean, Effective
Cons:
I have owned fish for 5 years and have been only using one type of filter. The two 350B filters i have for my 75gal Tropical tank work better tank i would have ever expected. and the 2 on my 75gal saltwater tank work great as well. This is one of the best filters i ever found. I recomend it for a new fish junky. there easy and vary relyable.

Pros:
Easy To Clean, Needs Little Upkeep, Effective
Cons:
Clogs Easily, Loud, Not Durable
I used all models on my tanks but they dont last. The biggest problem i have is the filter is loud and stops working. Does have room to add media!

Better than average
5/7/2011

Pros:
Good filter cartridges, Adjustable intake, Easy To Clean, Durable
Cons:
Loud when water is low, Wheel stops spinning, Clogs Easily
The filter in general is a very good hang-over-the-side filter. The cartridges don't get mushy and fall appart like TOPFIN and AQUEON filter catridges. However, the biowheel is hard to get turning after the first few months of use. Also, the filter cartridges get clogged up with muck very easily (especially if you have some heavy polluters). In short change the cartridges often and don't use when dealing with very large and messy fish.

Best filters around
5/5/2011

Pros:
Durable, Quiet, Needs Little Upkeep, Effective, Easy To Clean
Cons:
This filter is by far the best one I have purchased and the last one. Upkeep was minimal and the filtration was by far the best compared to the many I have used. Cleaning really only required scrubbing out the intake vents and switching out the filters every two months. I had this attached onto a 45 gallon tall tank and barely had to change the water.
