Cons:
We switched from Blue and our biggest change we notices was that our dogs was not as hungry. Blue is a good food but our dogs seemed to be hungry allt he time. Yes, it is more expensive but it is the money worth. Compared to other foods do we have to feed lesser, their coat is shiny, our picky eater eats it. We highly recommend this food.

This is the best diet and the best food I have found to have my Dog on. It has helped with all her fur and skin issues. She no longer has to take Proin for Incontinence. Diet is key to the overall health of a pet. I have seen it with my own eyes. From switch from store bought Purina Dog Chow. Even tried Blue Wilderness and a few others until I found Acana. A couple of months on this I seen a Big change in my dogs health, Fur, Skin, and over well being. She is a lot more active and not sluggish. She is also a lot more flexible. Before she would get be really stiff in the legs. Vet put her on Dasuquin with MSM. Expensive stuff that didn't help at all. She was on it for a year. Took her off that then changed her diet to Acana. And again amazing food. I will never go back. Yes, it may be pricey but always remember you pay for you get. So to me the price is well worth. Because now I don't have to give my dog supplments or pills just to get up and walk or to even stop her from losing bladder control. Thank goodness for Acana. I really hope they keep on making great dog food without any problems. My own vet said my dog's diet is better than his own.

Great food for picky eaters

Pros:
Fresh, smells good to dogs
Cons:
We've tried several "good" dog foods for our picky goldendoodle, and this one is a winner! His coat is shiny, no more itching and gobbles it down. The kibble is a good size and is flat, so it is easier for him to eat. Highly recommend.

Outstanding food!

Pros:
Nice flat kibble, apparently tastes great, well received by all
Cons:
None found
My pugs love this food...kibble size is always an issue this is flat and easy to chew (extremely small kibble is swallowed whole & big round kibble is hard to chew). Do not require special treats on top to eat this food. Everyone is shiny and in good weight and acting like puppies.Highly recommend this food.

One of my dogs could eat it the other could not

Pros:
It's by Acana and all good stuff
Cons:
Dogs with sensitive intestines may have trouble with it.
We have been using Acana for years and used to use one formula then switched to Pacifica for the seafood only benefits. My dogs loved it although I have a finicky eater who has sensitive intestines. We switched to Wild Prairie to see if we could shave a few dollars off the food bill, but one dog could eat it and the sensitive one developed diarrhea. It was so bad after a couple days he was afraid to eat the food because of how sick it made him.(Even dogs don't want the runs). We had to rush and buy the old Pacifica and my little sensitive boy ate his old Pacifica with relish. This wasn't a case of not introducing the food slowly either because the other dog liked it fine. So I know Acana is excellent food and have always gotten great reports from the vet for their health and coats, but will stick to Pacifica once the girl finishes up the Wild Prairie Grain. My girl dog she isn't finicky, but she won't eat anything that she smells has a problem with it. She never would touch IAMS, not even their biscuits, but she loves Acana food, you can't go wrong with them. My recommendation is mixed, but since one dog has an issue, I couldn't completely recommend it. Hope it works for you and your animals.

What's in it?

Pros:
smells good
Cons:
not kibble, but has flowers in it
I had hoped that once my dog got his teeth fixed, he'd want the highly recommended dog food, but he turned his nose up yet again to a familiar 'no way mom' look. I'm having so much trouble with him. anyway, as it turns out, there is something in the food that my dog is allergic too, cuz he broke out all over, even in his ears! I've had to give him sponge baths and use vaseline in his ears to help stop the itching. He is allergic to grass, and it does contain lavenders, so maybe thats it, I don't know. good luck with your dog, maybe they'll like it. :)
