Brichardi Cichlid

The Brichardi Cichlid, Neolamprologus brichardi, is endemic to the African rift lake Tanganyika. Like other freshwater fish from the rift lakes, aquarium water should be buffered to a specific pH level. For Tanganyikan Cichlids this range is 7.4 to 9.4 and several products are available to handle this requirement. N. brichardi as a diet primarily made up of zooplankton. When a mated pair is ready for breeding a cave should be provided. The pair and small juveniles will take turns guarding the young, forming a breeding colony. All captive raised cichlids offered by Pet Solutions are first generation offspring (F1) from wild caught stock. This allows us to offer the brightest colored cichlids available.
