Black Clown Goby
Black Clown Goby, Gobiodon okinawae, has been made available to aquarists only recently. Classified in the latter part of the 20th century, the dark, velvety coloration of this fish is a stark contrast to the animated manner of its movement. Also known as the Needlespine Goby, it prefers to rest in the spindly extensions of SPS Corals such as Acropora. It is not picky about food and will come into the open to eat nearly anything provided. Flake and pellet will suffice, but frozen and live foods should be frequently
fed for maximum coloration. This fish may be territorial toward its own genus if not given plenty of room to establish its own territory. This completely reef-safe fish is a great addition for aquarists of all experience levels.
