Bimaculatus Blenny (Two Spot)
The Bimaculatus Blenny (Ecsenius bimaculatus) is a small, reef safe Blenny that will happy make its home among the rocks in a home aquarium. This fish originates in and around the Philippines and Malaysia. More than one of these fish can be kept in a home aquarium, but it is recommended that they are added at the same time in order to minimize possible territorial behavior. The Bimaculatus Blenny is a peaceful fish, and should only be housed with other peaceful fish that will not harass it.
Not only does this fish exhibit fun to watch behavior, but it is also a fish that will earn its keep in a reef tank by nibbling on algae that grows in the aquarium. The maximum size for this fish when kept in captivity is generally in the area of 1.5 inches.
