The Barrier Reef Chromis is found in schools and is relatively peaceful, though it may bother other Damsels. The fish is distinctive with its black diagonal stripe from its eye to the dorsal fin. The upper body will exhibit a yellowish color and below the stripe will appear silver colored. It should be offered a variety of meaty and algae based diets and will require some open space where it can school. This is a very hardy fish.
