Assorted Carpet Anemone

The Carpet Anemone is one of the more difficult anemones to acclimate to the home aquarium, but it can do fine in surroundings where the correct environment is provided. This anemone will tend to roam initially until it finds a comfortable spot, and then will likely stay in that general vicinity. While finding its "spot", it may damage any corals with which it comes in contact along the way. This not-for-the-beginner-aquarist anemone can cause a painful sting to humans and, as such, must be handled with care. The Carpet Anemone is a natural host for some Clownfish species, including the Ocellaris and Percula Clowns. Providing the Carpet Anemone with a high level of lighting, excellent water conditions, and a medium water flow is a good way to help ensure its health. Target feedings of fish, krill, or mussels are readily accepted. The addition of Iodine is a necessity for continued health.

Carpet Anemone is a common host for the following Clownfish species: Ocellaris, Percula.
