Shipping is based on UPS ground delivery within the 48 contiguous states. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO or PO Boxes addresses are shipped at standard U.S. Postal Service rates with an additional $2.50 service charge. We are not responsible for duty or other charges. Note that UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Although we do not ship internationally we do ship to APO/FPO addresses for those individuals serving overseas in military and government positions.

Minimum $25 order. All Frozen orders are packed with Dry Ice and shipped 2nd Day Air for Delivery on Friday. Delivery is only available within the 48 contiguous states. We're sorry, but backorders cannot be accepted. Items not shipped will need to be reordered. Orders placed after 10:00 am on Wednesday will be shipped on the following Wednesday.
If an order is placed that contains both Frozen and Dry Goods or Live Fish (Saltwater or Freshwater) or Live Plants, the order will be split into separate orders with the appropriate shipping charges for each order.

All orders for live items are shipped via UPS, and are only available for delivery within the 48 contiguous states. Standard delivery days are Tuesday through Friday, and we do offer Saturday delivery in limited areas. If Saturday delivery is available in your area, that option will appear during the online order checkout process and there will be an extra shipping charge listed beside the Saturday delivery option. If ordering over the phone, a member of our expert customer service staff can assist you in finding out if Saturday delivery is available in your area.
We recommend someone be available at the delivery address to bring the boxes indoors as soon as possible. Allowing the delivery to sit in heat or cold outdoors could be detrimental to the health of the live items. UPS will leave the package if they deem the location is safe. Otherwise they will return it to the hub and a second attempt wil be made. If an order is placed that contains items from more than one category such as dry goods, live fish, and frozen food, the order will be split into separate orders with the appropriate shipping charges for each order. Pick of the reef items will also be split out separately and will have their own shipping charge regardless of whether they are ordered with other saltwater items.
* Plants, rock, or sand ordered on a Thursday before 10:30am Eastern can be delivered on Friday for an extra fee, and Saturday delivery is also available in some areas for orders placed before 10:30am Eastern Friday morning please see our shipping cost chart below for details. Live rock ordered after 10:30am Eastern on Thursday will not ship until the following Monday, it can not be shipped for next day Saturday delivery.
**Pond plants are shipped Tuesday through Thursday only. If pond plants are ordered anytime Thursday , they will not be shipped until Tuesday unless 2nd day air Saturday or Next Day Air shipping is chosen, and then only if ordered prior to 10:30am Eastern. Pond plants are shipped via FEDEX directly from our supplier.
Items ordered from Pick of the Reef have their own shipping charge of $19.99 for next day delivery regardless of whether the items are ordered alone or with other live items not in our Pick of the Reef section. Orders received Monday through Thursday by 10:30am Eastern will ship out the same day for delivery the following day. If your order is placed after 10:30am Thursday it will ship out Monday for Tuesday delivery unless Saturday delivery is chosen at checkout, and Saturday delivery charge will apply.
Pick of the reef items are one of a kind. Your purchase isn’t complete on the item until payment has been received, and until that time anyone may purchase the item, adding an item to your shopping cart is not a purchase. Once an item is purchased, it will immediately be removed from our website.
Some reptiles, amphibians, insects and arachnids may require special permits or may have restrictions on purchase and/or ownership where you live. Potential buyers of live animals should be aware of what federal, state and local laws apply to their area of residence before making a purchase. Buyer assumes all responsibility for obtaining necessary permits and following applicable laws relating to their area of residence. Petsolutions is not responsible for any violation of such rules and regulations on the part of the purchaser. Due to legal restrictions, any reptile, amphibian, or arachnid being shipped into the states of Georgia or Iowa will require an individual veterinary inspection and certificate. This will require a $25 additional fee, which is the vet charge for an inspection and certificate.
Due to seasonal availability, daily health inspections and other considerations, animals are sometimes unavailable for shipment. If the situation arises, Petsolutions will ship the order if 70% of the dollar value of your order is available, canceling the out of stock items. We may also substitute the unavailable animal with a different size, or in the case of live plants an equivalent plant may be substituted. A request for “No Substitutions” or “Ship Complete” may be requested when ordering. This may result in a shipping delay or order cancellation. Petsolutions is unable to backorder any live items. We do not substitute Pick of the Reef items under any circumstances.
