Anubias Nana
The Nana Anubias, Anubias barteri v. 'Nana', is an ideal plant for almost any planted aquarium. Anubias species are tolerant of a wide variety of water conditions and do not require as intense lighting as do some other plants. The slow growing Anubias plants make a great foreground focal point. The rhizome "root" will spread over time leading to more plants. Anubias are also prized when in bloom, with the resulting seeds being another method of reproduction. Anubias plants should have their rhizomes tied down to a rock or piece of driftwood until they take hold.
Notes: Frequently flowers under water. It is not readily consumed by herbivorous fish.
