Albino Paradise Fish
Albino Paradise Fish, Macropodus Opercularis, are an aggressive species, even towards their own kind. They are greedy eaters and should be fed generously and often. These fish are as uniquely colored as their pigmented cousins with their orange and red vertical banding from gill to tail. These assertive creatures are a favorite of hobbyists because of their incredible coloration. They will be no more than 2-3 inches in the home aquarium and will accept all varieties of foods. Water temperature isn't a factor with this surface-breathing semi-tropical fish. It has been known to survive freezing temperatures and ice-cold water when kept in outdoor pools or ponds. Paradise Fish do have a labyrinth organ as with other member of the Gourami family. They must have access to surface air in order to survive.
