Albino Kribensis
Scientific Name: Pelvicachromis pulcher
Recommended Aquarium: 20+ Gallons
Approx. Adult Size: 4 inches
Temperament: Peaceful
Ease of Care: Easy
Diet: Omnivore
Native Waters: Africa
This West African native that displays great beauty and personality grows to a maximum of 4 inches for males and 3 inches for females. Though this is a Cichlid from Africa, caution must be used when placing the Kribensis with traditional "African Cichlids." Its smaller size keeps it from being a good companion to larger Tanganyikan or Malawian Cichlids. Kribensis do go well with many New World Cichlids and, other than origin, display traits of many New World Cichlids. The Kribensis may do some digging, but typically not enough to cause damage or uprooting of plants. It is too large to be considered a dwarf cichlid yet too small to be considered a Full-sized Cichlid.
