Albino Glolight Tetra
The Albino Glolight Tetra, Hemigrammus erythrozonus, is similar to the Neon Tetra except for its’ coloring. It has an orange body and a duller pink stripe from the eye to the base of the tail. Originating in Guyana the Albino makes a unique addition to your tank. It is best suited for the Beginner Aquarist since it is a relatively easy keeper. This Tetra is a semi-hardy community safe, schooling fish with a peaceful disposition. In captivity, it will grow up to 1.5” in length requiring at least a 10 gallon tank with a water temperature of 74 to 82º F. The Albino is most comfortable in a well-planted, dimly lit tank, which can be accomplished with floating and submerged plants. As an Omnivore these Tetras will eat small live, frozen and dry foods. You can also feed vegetable matter to vary the diet. Lastly, sexing the mature Albino Glolight Tetra is a matter of: the females are broader bodied than the males.
